Eves of Eden
This triptych is the final piece in the Dark Night of the Soul series. It speaks of generational trauma and strength, of the weight and wisdom of our ancestors, and the ever-present choices we carry in our bones.
Timshel—thou mayest.
What if Cain and Abel had been women? Would the wound be one of words rather than weapons? Would the battlefield shift from the hands to the throat, where love and fear intertwine like vines?
The central figure, an ancestral presence, watches over the scene. Her DNA-shaped roots run deep, connecting to both Possibility and Pain. Below her, wisdom is passed down - first from the Crone, then to the Mother who then carries them forward to the Maiden.
Each receives and gives in turn, shaping the next cycle through the power of their voice.
Every element holds meaning, the flowers, the gestures, the symbols of "vita" , "terra", and "mortem" -, etc..
The focus is on the throat chakra, the place where words can either heal or harm.
The hand emerging from the rose forms the mudra of communication, a reminder that our voice shapes the world around us.
You can choose to follow your heart and, on one side, speak out of fear and trauma. Or you can follow your heart and speak out of love and hope. Both sides will water the seeds you plant, you have to know for yourself what scent and garden you want to live in
